Arrays

We are learning about arrays in room 41.

An array is an arrangement of objects into equal sized rows.
Today we brainstormed where we could find arrays in the real world.

  • Egg cartons
  • Ice cube trays
  • Calendars
  • Muffin trays
  • our book shelves are arrays.

We felt arrays were a great thing because you can see things in rows and might not have to count by 1s. It helps us figure things out faster.
We have been invited to find things that we may find around our house that are arrays and to bring them into class to share.
We are going to use arrays to help us in multiplication.
