We finished organizing our classroom library. We organized, planned and had our grand opening for our library and for our year of reading. It was a lot of fun. We wrote a letter inviting Mrs. Marlatt and Mrs. Steuart. We wrote speeches and created posters.
What a great celebration!
In writing we have been working on coming up with a variety of ideas for independent writing times. Here is our brainstorming web. At home talking about different things your child could write about can help a lot.
We also have been working on our jobs. We are practicing a lot of number concepts during this time such as skip counting, odd and even numbers, equal and not equal.
